Notes: Meet Rio A water-loving, 6-year-old black Labradoodle with a heart as big as his splash. Named after the Spanish word for “river,” Rio is happiest when he’s in the water—pool, pond, or hose, he’s all in. His gray markings give him a distinguished look, but this 74-pound boy is full of playful energy and affection. Rio is house- and crate-trained, great with small dogs, and gentle with older kids. He shares a sweet bond with his Yorkie housemate and would do well in a home with similar companions. He’s loyal, affectionate, and thrives on connection. He does best with structure and will need supervision around toys—especially baby items, which he tends to chew. Due to sensitivity around his hips and tail, he’s not suited for homes with small children. He’s never shown aggression, but needs to be handled gently and respectfully. Rio must be kept on leash when outdoors, as he loves to chase small animals. His ideal home includes long walks, playtime, and maybe even a place to swim. Think Rio could be your perfect match?
