Notes: Meet Moose, A 3-year-old Chocolate Lab, that came to TheDoodPack Rescue ready to make a splash—literally. If there’s a pool, pond, or puddle, he’s in it. Water is his happy place! He’s social with other dogs and great with people, though he can get a bit vocal when meeting new men. It’s not aggression—just excitement and curiosity in classic Moose fashion. Once he warms up, it’s all tail wags and charm. This smart, strong-willed boy is thriving in training and responding wonderfully to structured guidance and reinforcement tools—especially with a training collar, which we recommend continuing to help him stay focused and follow direction. Moose is also learning not to snatch toys from hands, especially balls (his favorite!). He’s driven by retrieval, so we use structured drop-it routines to help him succeed. He wants to please—he just needs consistent leadership. Moose has shown signs of food aggression and has made wonderful progress through his training efforts, but he’ll need an adult-only home or one without small children, with continued structure and commitment to his growth.
