FAQ
Our mission is to provide a home-based alternative to traditional kennels, ensuring that pets who thrive in a home environment get the care they need. Whether through our daycare, boarding, walking, or training services, we prioritize comfort, routine, and personalized attention. Beyond pet care, we extend this mission to rescue efforts by offering temporary home-based relief for dogs who struggle in shelter settings, giving them a better chance at finding a permanent home.
We offer daycare, boarding, walks, and training. Daycare gives your dog a fun and safe place to spend the day with supervised play and rest. Boarding provides a home-style overnight stay, so your dog feels comfortable while you're away. Walks can be quick potty breaks or longer exercise sessions, depending on your dog's needs. Training focuses on positive reinforcement to build good behavior and confidence.
If you're experiencing any issues with booking, please reach out to us directly. You can email us at hello@thedoodpack.com or call/text us at (727) 741-1737, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
For the health and safety of all pets in our care, we require up-to-date vaccinations for rabies, distemper, and Bordetella (kennel cough) for both dogs and cats. Proof of vaccination must be provided at drop-off or sent in advance via email at hello@thedoodpack.com. All pets must also be spayed or neutered, though special circumstances may be considered depending on our capacity.
When bringing your dog for boarding, please pack their food, any necessary medications, and comfort items like their bed or favorite toys. Label all belongings with your dog’s name for easy identification. Keeping a list of what you bring can also help ensure everything returns home with them.
At TheDoodPack, we operate with a pack mentality where dogs are socialized with both our in-house pack and other boarders or rescues. We believe that dogs thrive in a well-balanced, supportive environment, so we ensure they learn and grow together. All dogs are carefully supervised and grouped based on compatibility, ensuring a safe and positive experience for everyone. If our capacity is high, we adjust the groupings accordingly to maintain harmony. We never take on more than we can handle, as we prioritize quality care and meaningful interactions. Through our pack's natural dynamics, we help teach the other dogs how to 'dog' — whether it’s socializing, playing, or learning new behaviors. Every dog that joins us becomes part of our family, and we ensure they have the best experience possible.
For dogs that do need crating for nighttime or naps, we provide high-quality crates to ensure comfort and safety. Additionally, we are currently saving and raising funds to purchase high-end veterinary kennels from Casco, known for their durability and care-focused design. You can learn more about these kennels here: Casco Veterinary Kennels.
At TheDoodPack, we create a relaxed and secure space for our feline guests. We primarily focus on kittens as they are more adaptable and easily socialized, which makes our space ideal for them. While we do accept adult cats, we limit the number we take on to ensure a balanced and safe environment. Each cat is different, and sometimes even a few less-social cats can affect the group. We closely monitor all interactions to maintain a calm atmosphere where every cat can feel comfortable and at ease.
