Rescue FAQ

We are passionate about supporting rescue efforts. We collaborate with local animal rescue organizations to provide temporary shelter, care, and rehabilitation for dogs in need. Additionally, we take in surrendered pets and assist them in finding their forever homes. You can often find us actively participating in adoption events to give back to our pet community.

The adoption process begins with completing our adoption application form, which helps us learn more about you and your preferences. If you need assistance, you can refer to our demo adoption application for guidance. After reviewing your application, we’ll arrange either a meeting or a phone conversation to discuss the adoption in more detail and ensure it’s a good match for both you and the pet. If you decide to move forward, the final step will be signing an adoption contract to officially welcome your new furry friend into your home. The process is designed to ensure a smooth transition for both you and the pet, and we’re here to guide and support you every step of the way. Your decision to adopt makes a lasting impact, and we’re thrilled to help you find your perfect companion.

Yes, we welcome foster families! Fostering gives you the opportunity to offer a temporary home to a pet in need, helping them adjust to a family environment and prepare for adoption. If you're interested in fostering, please complete our foster application form. If you’d like a better idea of how to fill it out, you can refer to our demo foster application for guidance. Once we receive your application, we will review it and provide you with all the necessary information and support. Foster families are essential to our rescue efforts, and we deeply appreciate your dedication and care.

All rescue pups at TheDoodPack receive comprehensive medical care to ensure their well-being. This includes a thorough health check, vaccinations for rabies, distemper, and Bordetella (kennel cough), and spaying or neutering, with no exceptions. The procedure is mandatory for all our rescue pups before they are available for adoption. As part of the adoption contract, you are required to provide ongoing veterinary care, including routine check-ups and vaccinations. Additionally, you must keep the health records provided at adoption and inform us of any significant health issues that arise.
